After winning the first prize in poster session on the 24th Asian and Oceanic Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Edan's innovation R-way™ evaluation program has reached another new height. The relevant academic article "Clinical application of a new evaluation system in CIN2+ assessment" presented by Dr. Jian Zhao, has adopted by the 16th International Federation of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC). The worldwide influence of R-way™ has been approved again.

International Federation of Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy (IFCPC) World Congress for Cervical Pathology and Colposcopy 2017 is organized by American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP) and was held every three year. The Congress attracted expertise in different clinical practice across the globe competence in preventative medicine. It is dedicated in improving clinical outcomes of genital tract disorders and establishes standards globally. Therefore, the influence is far-reaching in this industry. Being presented by such an authoritative association, it is the great acknowledge of R-way™ achievements.

In conventional coplposcopy, due to lack of quantitative evaluation standard, subjective factors may influence the evaluation result. For most colposcopists, especially primary colposcopists in rural areas, the accuracy and consistency of preliminary results greatly varied from case to case.

By controlling the time point of each images captured, R-way™ standardized the procedure of colposcopy. It decreases the effect of personnel factors to provide better consistency of clinical results done by different education level doctors. The standardized colposcopy process can achieve the purpose of quality control. Moreover, it is difficult to locate CIN2+ in a short period. With the built-in storage of terminologies, gynecologists can quickly grasp the colposcopy technologies therefore greatly improve the efficiency.

Dr. Jian Zhao, the author of this paper, is the deputy director of Cervical Lesion Diagnosis and Treatment Center in Peking University First Hospital. She is an expertise in cytological diagnosis of cervix, HPV DNA infection treatment, colposcopy diagnosis, treatment of cervical diseases, etc. Edan has been working with Dr. Jian Zhao in developing R-way™ Colposcopic Evaluation System since 2011.With the joint effort, the frequent attention from academia on R-way™ approves its clinical application value and this is also the respond to the worldwide policy "Early Diagnosis and Treatment" to cervical cancer.
